  • Renowned designer Laurie Gates continues his string of successes at Gibson Homewares with the launch of Tierra, a colorful line of ceramic tabletop and bakeware. Each item of the line features handpainted designs that call back to the roots of Gates’ inspiration.

    “The California landscape and the community of artisans working here have always been near to my heart,” said Gates. “Tierra’s handpainted patterns express the joys of living in Los Angeles’ creative hub mixed with stylistic hints borrowed from my travels in Europe and Asia.” 

    Now Gibson’s senior VP of creative, Gates started his career as an independent artisan who built a loyal following with his high-quality stoneware that is both casual and refined. Tierra continues this tradition of relaxed elegance with its vibrant designs across multiple product categories.

    “The entire line of items tell a complete product story,” Gates said. 

    Tierra’s bright and intricate motifs play out across two 12-piece dinnerware sets and a 6-piece bakeware set. Several small packs of mugs, bowls and open-stock items are priced for the entry-level consumer. Their high-end composition and laidback aesthetic are targeted to appeal to Boomers, Millennials and everyone in between.

    Indeed, Gibson’s own sales metrics confirm recent changes in consumer demand—more people are cooking and entertaining from home than ever. The decorated floral patterns across the serveware surface are designed to make an impact. 

    “The Martha Stewart brand has always been about high-quality yet affordable items that say ‘you too can live this well.’” Fleishman remarked. “The Skyland Botanic line of serveware is the perfect way to showcase your culinary delights.”

    Four serving platters plates and bowls comprise the Skyland Botanic line of floral decorated serveware. Each individually packaged item is priced affordably, but also functions as a complete set.

The entire collection is composed of 100% shatter-resistant melamine, making it perfect for outdoor get-togethers and family barbeques.
